Kelley Lawrence, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Lawrence

Dr. Lawrence was born and raised in South Dakota. She first moved to Arizona in 2003. She graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Lawrence did additional training by completing a residency in ocular disease and primary care on the Gila River Indian Reservation in Sacaton, Arizona.

Prior to her career as an optometrist, she was a first grade teacher. She has a special place in her heart for children and enjoys providing pediatric vision exams. She provides comprehensive eye health exams for infants through seniors.

Kelley Lawrence, O.D., F.A.A.O. has a special interest in the management of medical eye conditions including diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, dry eye, eye infections, and eye allergies. She also has experience fitting a wide range of contact lenses.

Dr. Lawrence and her husband, T.J., have two sons. Her favorite activities include those spent with her family. She enjoys traveling and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Renee Thimesch, O.D.

Dr. Thimesch

Dr. Thimesch was born and raised in South Dakota. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She then obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree by graduating with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Following her graduation, Dr. Thimesch practiced for 6 years in southern Minnesota. She moved to Arizona in mid 2014 and practiced in Chandler before joining Desert EyeCare Center in early 2018.

She enjoys working with patients, and getting to know them and their families. Dr. Thimesch manages and treats routine vision needs (glasses and contacts) as well as ocular health concerns (diabetes, cataracts, red eyes, eye allergies, etc).

Dr. Thimesch and her husband Dave have one daughter. In her spare time, she loves to read and go to baseball games with her family. They are big fans of the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.

Cara, Office Manager/Optician


Cara has been a resident of southern Arizona since 1989. She spent three years in the Middle East and is a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Cara has worked in the Optometry field since 2009. She enjoys serving the public and helping patients with all their vision needs. Cara not only works as an Optician, but has experience as an Optometric Technician as well. Cara especially enjoys helping patients find fashionable eyeglass frames while also ensuring a comfortable and functional fit.

Outside of work Cara spends her time caring for her son Jacob. They enjoy many activities together, especially those spent at home with their pets.

Jessica, Optician


Jessica has lived many places and has been at home in AZ since 2012.

She has a long background in customer service and has also been lucky enough to be a stay at home mom. She loves coming to work everyday and interacting with patients and meeting so many new people.

Outside of work she enjoys exploring the state of AZ hiking and camping with family and her two fabulous poodles.

Alma, Optometric Technician


Alma has lived in Arizona since 2003. Bilingual in Spanish and with years of experience in customer service you will find her helping patients as an Optometric Technician. She enjoys interacting with patients and meeting new people.

During her free time Alma and her husband Jacob love to go to museums, art festivals, and they both enjoy spending time with their two dogs Penny and Ollie.

April, Receptionist


April is originally from Michigan but has called Arizona home since 2009. She has worked in customer service for many years and really enjoys helping and interacting with patients everyday.

In her spare time, April loves camping and hiking with her family, watching her daughters play sports, and coaching/playing volleyball.

Lori, Optometric Technician / Receptionist


Lori has been an Arizona resident since 1992. With a background in veterinary medicine, she now enjoys helping human patients as an optometric technician and receptionist.

Lori spends her days off horseback riding, hiking, and off roading with the family.
